Questions and answers

Is this real gambling?
No. One-Up Twenty-One is a social game. You play with free virtual coins that have no cash value, and there is no way to wager, win or withdraw real money.
Can I buy more coins?
No, and you never need to. There is no shop on this site. If your stack runs low, press Reset coins at the bottom of the table for a fresh 1,000.
Why did my balance reset?
Coins live only in your browser while the page is open. Reloading, closing the tab or moving to another page on the site starts a new session at 1,000.
What rule does the dealer follow?
The house draws on 16 or less and stands on every 17, including a soft 17 such as Ace-Six. It never deviates from that.
How is the deck shuffled?
Each shoe is a single 52-card deck, shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle using your browser’s secure random number generator. It is reshuffled when fewer than 15 cards remain.
What does a blackjack pay?
A natural blackjack (Ace plus a ten-value card on the first two cards) pays 3 to 2. A bet of 20 returns your 20 plus 30. If the house also has one, it is a push.
Why are some chips greyed out?
A chip switches off when adding it would make your bet bigger than your remaining coins. Under 10 coins, betting stops until you reset.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no registration and no login. Nothing about your play is stored once you leave.
Is there sound?
Only if you want it. Sound starts off; the toggle at the bottom of the table turns on short synthesised blips.
Who can play?
Adults aged 18 and over. The site is intended for entertainment only.

Write to us

If something on the table looks wrong — a total that does not add up, a payout that seems off, a button that will not respond — we would like to hear about it. Tell us which browser and device you were using and, if you can, which cards were on the table. A screenshot is ideal.

We also welcome questions about the site, our rules or our privacy practices. Messages are read by a person and answered in the order they arrive.

Please never send passwords or payment details. We will never ask for them, because there is nothing here that needs them.
